Panasonic DP-UB820-K Streaming 4K Blu Ray Player: was $497 now $399 @ Amazon
Call me old fashioned, but I still love having a physical movie collection — even if it’s not as big as the one I had a decade ago.
If you’re like me and want to keep physical discs alive for another decade or two, you might want to pick up this class-leading Panasonic 4K Blu-ray Player that’s $100 off today for Amazon Prime Day.
What makes the Panasonic DP-UB820-K the best 4K Blu-ray player? For one, its support of basically every format disc, from Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and offers exceptional upscaling. Since Oppo closed its 4K Blu-ray player division, this Panasonic model has been my go-to recommendation to people looking for a top-class player.
BE FIRST TO BUY IT: Samsung 83″ S90C OLED TV @ Amazon
Want to be first in line for Samsung’s biggest OLED TV? The company just took the wraps off the new 83-inch S90C OLED that should be available sometime in the next 24 hours.
How much will this monstrous OLED behemoth set you back? The recommended retail price is $5,399.99, but Amazon could price it lower.
Like the Samsung S95C, the S90C uses a QD-OLED panel for better brightness than standard OLED screens while retaining the great black levels and excellent color reproduction. If you like being the first on your block to own the latest TV tech, today’s your chance to be the first to grab this newly launched OLED.
Pioneer 50-inch Class LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV: was $419 now $199 @ Amazon
I try to find deals that match everyone’s budget and performance expectations, and this Pioneer TV comes in at right under $200 for a 50-inch Fire TV.
On paper, that’s a great deal.
I’m always a little skeptical of legacy TV brands like Pioneer because 99% of the time, the brand’s name is licensed by another company. I.e. This Pioneer TV is almost certainly not made by the Pioneer AV brand you remember from two decades ago and, from what I can tell, was outright purchased by Voxx International in 2021.
If you don’t mind the false pretenses of this TV, it has all the right specs for a $200 4K TV: HDR support, a 60Hz native panel, Fire TV smart platform and an Alexa voice remote. I think you’re probably better off with the TCL 5-Series deal further down below, but if your budget is limited, this one’s a good compromise pick.
AMAZON PRIME DAY TIP: Lightning deals are all flash, no substance this year
Something I’ve noticed while covering Amazon Prime Day this year is that the TV Lightning Deals are, well, not that good.
That’s a shame because, last year, we got an epic deal on a Sony OLED TV that was 50% off its regular price. To that end, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Sony A80K OLED (currently 39% off on Amazon) just in case Sony decides to drop the price at the last minute. I’ll be sure to keep my eyes out, too.
Samsung 75-inch Class QLED The Terrace Outdoor Smart TV: was $6,747 now $4,936 @ Amazon
With weather this nice and with fall football right around the corner, now’s a good time to think about buying an outdoor TV.
There are a few main players in this area (Sunbrite being a perennial favorite) but few outdoor TVs can compete with Samsung’s The Terrace. Not only can it compete with the most intense glare with its ultra-bright screen, but it’s also equipped with some truly excellent smart TV features as well.
If you want an all-weather outdoor TV and don’t mind spending for the best, take advantage of this $1,700 discount on Amazon Prime Day.
XGIMI MoGo 2 Portable Projector: was $399 now $299 at Amazon
For years, projectors were seen as difficult to setup and finnicky. Thanks to an influx of rock-solid portable projectors, however, that’s all changed.
A great example of that is the XGIMI MoGo 2 Portable Projector. It can’t match the sheer picture performance of the best 4K TVs, but it’s got a decent picture that you can bring with you wherever you go.
So what makes this portable projector the one to buy? Kate Kozuch, another one of our excellent managing editors here at Tom’s Guide, said it best:
“Powered by 400 ISO lumens, the XGIMI MoGo 2 Portable Projector is a superb projector for the price. Not only does it project a screen up to 120 inches, but with the built-in smart TV interface, dozens streaming apps are ready to use. You could hook up your laptop or smartphone if you prefer, of course.”
Samsung 55″ QN95B QLED 4K TV: was $2,399 then $1,597 now $1,297 @ Amazon
This is something you don’t see everyday — it’s a deal that dropped in price twice in the last 24 hours. When we last covered this TV a few hours ago, the Samsung QN95B was $1,597 (in our opinion, a great deal) but that price has now sunk to $1,297 after a further $300 discount. It’s weird, but awesome.
All the same things we said below apply here. The QN95B was Samsung’s flagship 4K QLED for 2022, and it rocked our world when we reviewed it. (Hence why it remains our #1 QLED TV recommendation.)
Understandably, this is a bit pricey for a 55-inch model, but you’re paying for the glare-reducing screen in the business.
LG G3 OLED 55-inch 4K TV: was $2,499 now $1,996 @ Amazon
This deal might not seem so great at the surface (it’s only $500 off an already expensive OLED TV) but trust me when I say there’s more than meets the eye here.
To wit, what you’re seeing is $500 off a BRAND-NEW OLED TV that uses LG Display’s 3rd Generation META panels with micro lens array. This is the brightest OLED money can buy right now, and it only became available to buy in May. The fact that it’s already on sale is mind-boggling.
If you really want the absolute best picture performance, this is the model to go for.
Insignia 43″ F30 4K Fire TV: was $299 now $179 @ Amazon
Looking for a cheap TV for your den or some other secondary room in your house? You can’t do much better than this 2021 model that’s dropped to $179. While it lacks the premium features of the best televisions on the market, it does sport a full 4K resolution as well easy access to pretty much all the best streaming services. It also includes an Alexa voice remote for vocal control. This TV is actually being sold by Best Buy via Amazon, but you can also find it at Best Buy for $179.
Samsung The Frame 55-Inch Class QLED 4K: was $1,497 now $987 @ Amazon
When you’re not using your TV, you’re left with a big black rectangle hanging on your wall. Samsung’s The Frame TV helps fill that gap in your decor by showing artwork by the masters — or yours, if you want — when you’re not streaming shows or movies. This deal, for the 55-inch model, drops its price below $1,000, but you can also get the 65-inch model for $1,495 (25% off), the 75-inch model for $1,997 (33% off), and the 85-inch model for $3,297 (23% off).
Samsung 65” QN90C QLED 4K TV: was $2,797 now $2,097 @ Amazon
The Samsung QN90C Neo QLED offers best-in-class HDR brightness and excellent overall performance. This TV has HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support, a 120Hz refresh rate and 4 HDMI ports (two are HDMI 2.1 ports). Also included are Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and SmartThings integration.
This is the lowest price offered to date for this 2023 release. At $700 off, it’s an added $100 less than we saw a few weeks ago, making me think this deal won’t stick around long.
Now, let’s play the age-old game of “how low can you go?” Yes, a $60 discount isn’t huge, but a $139 Google TV from TCL is worthy of attention. Google TV, for the uninitiated, means this set has all the popular streaming apps, and Google Assistant too. That said, it also works with Amazon Alexa.
The one downside is that this TV is only 1080p, but for its 32-inch size, that makes some sense. Best for adding a TV to a smaller space that doesn’t require one of the best 4K TVs.
You know how I just mentioned one TV that was great, but its brightness wasn’t fantastic? You won’t find such an asterisk on the Samsung QN90C Neo QLED TV, currently $2,097, its lowest price ever, $100 less than the previous low.
As our Samsung QN90C Neo QLED TV review explains, this set emitted a whopping 1987.34 nits of brightness in Filmmaker mode. I specify Filmmaker mode because that’s the setting people use to get accurate images without over-juiced brightness and color. Those brightness numbers help it offer excellent viewing angles, so you don’t need to be watching it head-on. The only crack against it is the lack of Dolby Vision support for that premium HDR spec.
Multiple TG staffers bought the LG C2 and rave about it constantly, so we’re going to bring it up again since the 55-inch model dropped to $1,096 — matching the all-time low last seen on April 16th.
Our LG C2 OLED review notes that not only does this model offer excellent color reproduction and solid accuracy, but its 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and plethora of gaming features make it a versatile TV to consider. The only annoying downside is that it’s not the brightest set, so you might need to position it away from light sources. That said, my colleague Henry T. Casey told me that’s easy to adjust to.
The previous all-time low for the 75-inch Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED series just got beat, thanks to this $220 discount. Now, this big screen TV is just $879 @ Amazon, giving you more space in your budget for streaming services to watch on its colorful display.
In our Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED review, we highlighted its capable performance with “bright and vibrant colors.” This TV also features clever features such as the radar-based presence sensor to turn off the TV when there’s nobody in the room, and turn it back on when someone enters.
Amazon’s hiding this deal, but add the LG 65-inch C3 OLED to your cart and you’ll see that it’s dropped to $2,096. It’s one of the best OLED TVs you can buy, and it’s more affordable compared to competing premium OLED TVs like the Sony Bravia XR A95K and the Samsung S95C.
The downside to the LG C3 OLED is that it doesn’t have the best sound system, but adding one of our favorite soundbars would fix that problem. The LG C3 OLED is $500 off, so take advantage of this deal while you can.
The TCL QM8 Mini-LED TV is the brightest TV we’ve ever tested. If you want a screen that can reach a stunning 2888.586 nits of brightness, the QM8 is the TV for you.
The TCL 65-inch QM8 4K Mini-LED TV is $500 off at Amazon right now. This is the lowest price ever for this recently-released TV. And it doesn’t just deliver incredible brightness — the QM8 also shows good color accuracy, with a Delta-E score of 2.744 and 97.26% coverage of the UHDA-P3 color gamut.
Mind if I get a bit unconventional here? The Echo Show 15 is one of the best smart displays, so it can make video calls, set reminders and control your other smart home devices. But with Fire TV built in, you also get access to your favorite shows, movies and streaming services.
The Echo Show 15 is $181 at Amazon right now with an Alexa Voice Remote included. With its 15.6-inch 1080p display, it’s basically the perfect kitchen TV. You can display recipes on the screen and set timers, then catch a movie while you wait for your meal to cook.
We love OLED TVs, but they’re not the best when it comes to brightness. If you want a TV you can use in a sunny living room, opt for a QLED. Especially since our favorite QLED TV has seen a huge discount for Prime Day.
The Samsung 55-inch QN95B Neo QLED TV is $1,597 at Amazon right now. This is $800 off its usual price. Best Buy offers this deal, too. The Samsung QN95B Neo QLED reached an incredible 1905.8 nits of brightness in our tests, and it’s very color-accurate too. We wish it had Dolby Vision support, but that’s as far as our complaints go with this fantastic TV. Check out our Samsung QN95B review for the full lowdown.
The LG 48-inch A2 OLED is $599 at Best Buy right now, and it’s a seriously cheap deal for an OLED TV. But the same can’t be said for the larger 55-inch model. Why is Best Buy charging $899 for the LG 55-inch A2 OLED right now?
The A2 is the entry-level OLED TV in LG’s lineup, while the LG B2 OLED is a step-up in terms of performance. The B2 offers better brightness, a higher refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 support. And you can get the LG 55-inch B2 OLED TV for $896 at Amazon right now.
Get the 48-inch A2 for the ultimate cheap OLED, or the 55-inch B2 for a bigger screen and better performance. But I’d avoid the 55-inch A2 OLED unless it gets drastically cheaper.
It’s no secret that you can save big by opting for older TV models, and this rule absolutely applies to the Samsung 65-inch S95B OLED from 2022 — it’s been slashed $900 off its original asking price of $2,499 this Prime Day. (The newer model, the Samsung 65-inch S95C OLED currently goes for $2,997.)
We had high praise for this TV in our Samsung S95B OLED review. It delivered excellent picture quality with awesome brightness, strong audio and it’s great for gamers thanks to its low lag time of 9.2ms. Unfortunately, the S95B can’t produce perfect blacks, so stay tuned to our live blog if that feature is top of your wish list.
We’ve flagged plenty of 55-inch (and smaller) TV deals you may find interesting but sometimes you just have to pull out the big guns. This epic 86-inch LG QNED85UQA Mini-LED is currently on sale for $2,496 at Amazon , knocking $500 off the usual price. The reason for the hefty price drop is likely because this is a 2022 model, but it’s still very much capable in 2023.
If you’re looking for the very best you can get then Mini-LED is a sure-fire bet as its backlight is 40x smaller than a traditional LED, giving greater depth and rich color to bring out the best in whatever you’re watching. Inside this behemoth is LG’s advanced α7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K which algorithmically adapts and adjusts picture and sound quality as you’re watching. You’ll need a big room and deep pockets for this deal but if you’re after the biggest and best available, this is a strong contender.
Here’s a good deal for the impressive 65-inch Q7 QLED TV from TCL, which has dropped down to under $700 for Prime Day. You can pick it up right now for $699 at Amazon with no invitation necessary.
This particular model from TCL doesn’t make it onto our list of best QLED TVs, but it’s still a great pick nonetheless. With a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and over 200 local dimming zones, the colors and contrast on this TV make for spectacular viewing, whether you’re enjoying sports or movies. And saving $200 on the asking price doesn’t hurt either.
It’s another great price drop on one of Sony’s excellent 55-inch OLED TVs as Amazon is keeping the TV deals flowing. This latest deal takes $701 off the 55-inch Sony Bravia A80K OLED TV bringing the cost down to $1098. It’s not quite sub-$1000, but it’s very close for a TV of this quality and one of the best prices we’ve seen.
In fact, the Sony Bravia A80K took home a Tom’s Guide Editor’s Choice when we reviewed it earlier this year. It uses the cognitive XR processor to keep brightness adjusted on the go. And, for gamers, this TV comes with exclusive features for the PlayStation 5, such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping which optimizes the PS5’s settings to take full advantage of the TV’s capabilities.
Best Buy’s counter to Amazon Prime Day — at least on the TV front — is to offer discounts of up to $600 on select Samsung and Sony models. One of the best offers we’ve seen takes $400 off the cost of a 55-inch Sony Bravia A90J 4K OLED TV, lowering its cost to less than $1,000. That’s pretty rare for an OLED TV of this caliber.
The A90J runs on Cognitive XR processor, which adjusts brightness on the fly to boost lights and deepen blacks without losing detail. You also get features like Google TV, HDR10/HLG/Dolby Vision support, four HDMI ports and a built-in assistant (either Alexa or the Google Assistant). This is a return of a deal we spotted in June, and it’s no less a good value now.

Here’s an Amazon Fire TV deal you don’t need an invite for. Yes, this model of the Fire TV doesn’t support 1080p, but it’s a convenient way to pick up a spare TV on the cheap, especially with Amazon knocking $70 off the price of this 720p model.
Even though this isn’t the fanciest TV out there, it does offer smart TV features and a remote control with Alexa-support built in. It’s the ideal set for a vacation home where you just need a basic TV to watch movies or enjoy the best streaming services.
Not all the top TV deals are at Amazon. Walmart has some notable discounts too, like this deal that lets you save $130 on TCL’s 65-inch Class 5-Series Roku Smart TV. TCL’s 5-Series TVs deliver QLED’s brightness and color quality at a low price. A user-friendly smart TV interface puts plenty of apps within reach.
To take advantage of this deal, you need to have early access through Walmart Plus, the retailing giant’s Amazon Prime equivalent. It’s worth keeping in mind that Amazon isn’t the only online retailer offering deals the next few days, so check sites like Walmart to see what they’re charging for the products you have in mind.
A $50 drop may not seem like big savings on a new TV, but the Hisense U8H ULED TV has a relatively low price tag to start. And the discounted $599 cost at Amazon currently matches the low price on this TV, one of our favorites when it comes to mini-LED TVs that don’t skimp on features.
You can read more in our Hisense U8H Mini-LED TV review, but we enjoy how birght and colorful this TV is, not to mention the fact that it supports Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos. But we also love the price, and at $599, the Highsense U8H is even more attractive than ever.
We rank Samsung’s QN95B QLED TV as one of the best TVs you can buy, and right now at Amazon, you can buy it for a lot less than usual. Amazon has taken $1,000 off the cost of the 55-inch QN95B — one of the biggest discounts we’ve seen on this model.
In our Samsung QN95B QLED TV review, we praised this set as the premium QLED to buy, thanks to its best-in-class brightness and clever design. The color brightness impresses, too, and you’ll have a host of smart TV features at your disposal.
Go big or go home on Prime Day with this 86-inch TV set from Samsung. The TU9010 4K TV may have debuted back in 2021, but this is still an impressive TV set with a 120Hz refresh rate and four HDMI ports. The size alone is enough to draw you into anything from movies to live sports.
The only thing bigger than the screen may be the savings, as Amazon has knocked $500 off the price. This is the lowest price in more than a month. You can find a similar discount at other retailers, too, with Best Buy selling the TU9010 4K TV for $1,199.
TCL’s Q6 QLED TVs offer 4K resolution and direct backlighting from the LED display panel. You can also depend on HDR10+, HDR10, HDL and Dolby Vision. Best of all is the $150 price drop on TCL’s 75-inch model.
Looking to save right now on a 50-inch TV? Amazon has taken $200 off the price of the LG Nano75 Series 4K Smart TV that features built-in Alexa. This is LG’s midrange series that’s named after the NanoCell color technology that promises truer colors than the average LCD panel. You won’t get the more extensive backlighting options found in LG’s pricier NanoCell models, but its quad-core 4K processor supports 4K playback and smart TV capabilities.
The only reason to pause on this deal is because we have seen the 50″ Nano75 Series drop down to $349. It may be worth waiting until Prime Day proper begins to see if Amazon matches that low price.
So this one’s not an Amazon Prime Day deal per se, but it is one of the best TV deals on a 75-inch model I’ve yet to see this week.
The Roku Plus offers great performance for a very affordable price. Our reviewer, the Head of Testing here at Tom’s Guide, was blown away by how colorful and bright this model was at this price point:
“No, you don’t get everything with a sub-$650 set, and you never will. Blazing brightness and a full array of HDMI 2.1 ports just aren’t in the cards here. But you don’t have to make many more compromises. With a fine picture buoyed by high-quality HDR color and unusually good sound, you’ll be able to watch just about anything without feeling as though you’re making many sacrifices.”
There are better options out there, but for a 75-inch TV under a grand, you can’t do much better than this.
What’s amazing about the Hisense U8K deal on Amazon is that this is practically a brand-new TV. It’s only been out for a month, and now it’s on sale.
That might lead you to think that there’s something wrong with it. But, having spent dozens of hours with it already, I can assure you that’s not the case. It’s actually sitting in my guest room right now for anecdotal testing (the phase after our lab tests) and I love going in to watch it.
So what does $800 get you here? It’s a 55-inch 4K HDR TV that uses Mini-LED backlighting for higher levels of brightness and contrast. It’s a native 120Hz panel and it comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports so you can connect it to a PS5 and/or Xbox Series X. I’ve been loving it for binging Dolby Vision content on Netflix (Our Planet II makes for great TV testing material) and I highly recommend it at this price.
There’s plenty of cheap Prime Day TV deals, but they’re not going to wow you the way the LG C2 OLED will. It sits atop our best TVs list for a reason.
As you’ll see in our LG C2 OLED review, it delivers incredible performance and is perfect for gaming, movies and more. Ahead of Prime Day, you can score $1,000 off the 65-inch version on Woot, or hold tight for another few hours to see if the price will drop on Amazon. Either way, you don’t want to miss out on the C2 OLED at this lower price.
Sometimes, a 40-plus-inch TV isn’t something you need. You just need a small screen for the kitchen, or a kids room, to keep you entertained. If that sounds like you, this $65 Fire TV could be more your speed.
For $65, you’re not getting an amazing TV, but a 24-inch Fire TV can be pretty handy. As a smart TV, it will allow you to catch shows on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and other streaming services, or even cast content from your phone using Apple AirPlay. Plus, if it breaks because of a spill in the kitchen or, well, kids just being kids, you’ll only be out $65.
With 720p resolution, this is not the kind of TV that I’d recommend replacing your living room set with, but you can’t argue with that price.
Looking for a new 4K TV this Amazon Prime Day? I’ve got you covered. I’ve helped thousands of folks buy a great TV that not only meets their needs for great picture performance, but also fits within their budget, too.
So where should you start looking for Prime Day? Let’s first look at the $99 Amazon Omni Fire TV deal I mentioned earlier.
For just $99 you’re getting a good-but-not-amazing TV. It didn’t make our list of the best TVs because of its issues with very middle-of-the-road performance, but those issues aren’t nearly as egregious as they are on other budget TV sets.
As far as performance data is concerned, the Omni TV was able to reproduce 96% of the Rec 709 color space in our testing and hit a peak brightness of 494 nits. We measured a very low lag time of 9.8 milliseconds which, If you don’t mind the 60Hz refresh rate, makes it a great partner for the PS5 or Xbox Series X.
Movie lovers will still want to invest in one of the best soundbars, but one can be bought for well under the $300 you saved by buying the Omni TV.
All in all, buy it if you want a cheap, mid-range 4K TV in a 43-inch screen size. There are both better and worse TVs out there, but none are going to be cheaper than this.
