The OfficeJet Pro 9025 has an excellent design and build quality. Its full plastic construction feels sturdy and the power cord is removable, making it easy to replace should it get damaged. The ink cartridges are easily accessible from the front panel, and you only have to lift the top scanner lid and the rear side panel to remove any potential jammed paper. The front input trays have sliders that adjust to the paper’s size, and you can have photo paper and regular paper in different trays on the front.
Unfortunately, while it’s great that the hinges on the scanner’s lid can extend to accommodate thicker documents like books, they feel quite fragile and the lid can detach from the hinges if overextended, exposing the wires. Once the lid is off, it’s difficult to re-align the hinges, which is necessary for closing the scanner lid. Also, opening and closing the front paper tray can be rather challenging.
