It’s time to watch Line of Duty season 6, episode 6! So get ready because we’re hopefully going to get a lot of answers.
Things are now getting properly good after a fairly slow start, with episodes 3, 4 and 5 really ramping up the tension. [SPOILERS AHEAD, SO STOP READING NOW if you’re not all caught up yet.]
Episode 5, in particular, was superb. For starters, we had the drama of AC-12 coming under new management from the icy DCS Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin). Online speculation that she might be the mysterious ‘H’ is now rife, and based on her attitude and actions so far, we can see why.
We also saw supt. Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) once again painted in a less-than perfect light when it comes to money. Whether DS Arnott (Martin Compston) will keep giving him the benefit of the doubt isn’t clear, but he already looks to have ended a promising relationship over the issue.
But the biggest talking point was of course that massive cliffhanger ending, with DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and the evil Ryan Pilkington (Gregory Piper) facing off in a dark car park. As the scene faded out we heard two shots — and whether either (or both) hit their intended target will presumably be revealed at the start of episode 6.
All of which is reason enough to drop whatever else you’re doing tonight, and settle down to watch Line of Duty season 6 episode 6. Here’s how to do that, wherever you are.
