The Google Nest Audio has acceptable frequency response accuracy. Its balanced mid-range can reproduce vocals and lead instruments clearly, but it lacks a bit of detail in the treble range, so audio can sound dark or dull. It’s also lacking low-bass, so you don’t feel the deep thump and rumble in bass-heavy music genres.
This speaker comes with bass and treble adjustments so you can customize its sound profile to your liking. However, we tested this speaker at its default setting, without any adjustments to the bass or treble.
