Given that Quordle is like Wordle but a lot harder, there’s no shame if you’re searching for the daily Quordle answers for game #137. Or rather ‘answers’ plural, as Quordle has four solutions to find each day.
If you’ve not played it yet, you should — it offers four times the fun of the original viral word game. But it’s arguably more than four times as difficult, as you only have nine guesses to find the quartet of words. (Some days Wordle is harder of course — although today’s Wordle answer is again about average.)
Like Wordle, it also resets each day, so if you miss one game you’ll have no way of knowing what the previous daily Quordle answers were. Well, unless you bookmark this page, in which case you’ll be able to check today’s Quordle answers at your leisure, as I’ll be updating it each morning.
But be warned: spoilers lie ahead for game #137, so only read on if you want to know today’s Quordle answers! And please don’t use this page to cheat and pretend to others that you got it right when you didn’t really. That would be a misuse of my hard work.
Today’s Quordle hints, game #137, Friday, June 10
Before I get on to today’s Quordle answers, I’ll give you a few hints to guide you in the right direction. I’ve got three starter clues for you, then one big hint at the end. And after that I’ll tell you the answers, promise.
So, here are your starter clues:
- All five vowels are used*
- One of the answers contains four vowels
- Two answers begin with the same letter
* By vowel I’m meaning A, E, I, O, U. There are other letters that are sometimes considered to be vowels, depending on how they are used.
The daily Quordle answers for game #137 are a really difficult bunch all round, so here’s another clue to give you an advantage with one of them: One of today’s Quordle answers is a fissure.
Sill stuck? Then let’s move on to the answers.
Today’s Quordle answers, game #137, Friday, June 10
So, what are today’s Quordle answers for game #137?
I won’t make you wait any longer — here you go:
It would be fair to describe the daily Quordle answers for game #137 as easier than yesterday’s, but only because yesterday’s were so tricky. These are no walk in the park either, with a couple of tricky words to find.
A look at Word and Phrase Info (opens in new tab)‘s list of the most frequently used English words shows that, with ANODE (37,414th) really quite obscure. CHASM (13,891st) isn’t so bad, but it does have an awkward letter distribution.
How so? Well, as I show in my analysis of every Wordle answer — most of which applies equally to Quordle — SM is a very unusual combination to get at the end of a word, with only three answers finishing that way.
That aside, the letters aren’t too bad, with no really uncommon ones and, unusually, no repeated letters within any of the answers.
My strategy involves playing three set words at the outset in order to eliminate or confirm as many common letters as possible. I always start by playing one of the best Wordle start words, in my case STARE, then follow that up with DOILY and PUNCH.
That usually gives me a good head start on the daily Quordle answers, and that was certainly the case today, with two answers already having all five letters by end of the third guess. The other two had four and three respectively — leaving me just three more letters to find.
Of course I also had to arrange them in the right order, so I started with the top-left puzzle. The pattern here was —-E, with yellow D, O, A and N. The answer? The rather obscure word ANODE.
For the top right, I had AU—, with green I, O and D. Clearly this was AUDIO.
For the bottom left, I had a green A in the middle, plus yellow C, S and H. I knew the C and H couldn’t go together at the end, which helped a lot as it suggested they’d go together at the start instead for CHA–. There are no plurals in Quordle, so while the word could end in S — CLASS or BASIS etc — it wasn’t likely here. I was a little stumped by what the answer could be, until I added an M for CHASM, a lovely word with a very unconventional spelling.
Finally, the bottom-right quadrant, where I still had only three yellow letters, A, N and E. This was another tricky one. The E couldn’t go at the end, so the N was a more likely option there. That probably meant the E would go directly before it, with the A in second place and a couple of consonants either side. That’s a fairly common pattern, and I could see that WAKEN and WAXEN were both options.
I went with WAKEN, and that confirmed the N as being at the end of the word. But the A and E stayed yellow, and both W and K were ruled out. On the plus side, I’d now tried the A in every position other than fourth spot, so I knew the word was —AN. Again, it was likely to start consonant-E-consonant. Looking at my unplayed letters, the only option I could see was BEGAN — and that proved to be correct.
As a result of all that, I completed this daily Quordle with one guess remaining. It was a slightly easier game on paper than yesterday’s, although I ultimately finished it with the same score.
Hopefully you solved it too.

What else should I know about Quordle?
Quordle is one of the many Wordle clones to have arrived in the wake of Wordle’s huge success. It’s essentially the same game, but you play four versions of it simultaneously and have nine attempts to guess all the answers.
The letters behave as they do in Wordle, turning green if they’re in the right place, yellow if they’re in the word but in the wrong location, and gray if they’re not included in the answer at all.
A nice extra is that though there’s only set puzzle per day, a practice mode is also included. And you might well need it, because it’s pretty difficult.
If Quordle is too tough for you, you might prefer something in our list of the best Wordle alternatives, but if you want an even more stressful test then we’d recommend either Squabble or Octordle.
We also like the new Heardle, which is like Wordle for pop music, plus the geography-based Wordle clone Worldle, the Star Wars-themed SWordle and the math-based Mathler, among others.
But the original is still the best, so don’t forget to also check our the best Wordle start words and to look at today’s Wordle answer if you won’t get a chance to play.
