Xiaomi’s sub-brand Huami unveiled a new round smartwatch the Amazfit Verge. It promises 5 days of battery life with continuous heart rate tracking and even occasional GPS use (GLONASS is supported too). Theres NFC as well, which can be used as a bus pass and with AliPay in China
The watch is built around a 1.3 AMOLED display (360 x 360px) covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The body measures 12.6mm thick and weighs 46g. It is IP68 waterproof, which is okay for showering with the watch, but not for swimming.

The Amazfit Verge runs a proprietary OS, despite its capable hardware dual core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB storage (1.9GB user available).
Theres a built-in microphone and a loudspeaker so you can use the watch to accept incoming calls on your phone. Theres also the Xiao digital assistant, which can answer your questions.

This Amazfit watch also integrates with the Mijia ecosystem of smart home gadgets: you can control the Yi lights, wall sockets, air conditioners, smart robots and rice cookers.
The Huami Amazfit Verge will be available in three colors starting today. You can find it on JD.com and Tmall for CNY 800 ($115/100).
