A number of OnePlus 7 Pro owners received cryptic push notifications on their phones containing a meaningless jumble of Latin or Chinese letters. The company has addressed the issue, explaining that it was a mere accident and there was nothing to worry.
In a statement on its official forums OnePlus apologized for the mishap and explained that the OxygenOS team unwillingly sent out the push messages through the Google FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) protocol while conducting a software test.
OnePlus assures that no user data has been lost or affected and that this wasn’t a breach or a hack of its servers and that it has taken precautions so that this incident wont reoccur.
