Every year, Honor launches its numbered X series and this year, the company could be announcing it much earlier than usual.
The Honor 9X has just been certified by Chinas 3C (China Compulsory Certificate) which usually signifies the imminent launch of an incoming smartphone.
The listing was reposted on Twitter and reveals only one piece of information: The Honor 9X will come bundled with a 10W charger, which isnt exactly fast but still not the lowest-current adapter.

Honors numbered-X series is basically Honors entry-level flagship phone. Although the brand usually launches this lineup in the fall (Honor 8X debuted in October of 2018), it looks like it might be aiming for an earlier release.
This is likely due to the increased saturation of ultra-affordable flagships from brands like Redmi and Realme, both of which released ultra-affordable phones with 48MP cameras and large displays with attractive styling.
For reference, the Honor 8X has a 6.5-inch display, 20MP camera with 2MP depth sensor, 6GB of RAM and powered by a Kirin 710 CPU. Theres also a 3,750 mAh battery powering the device.
We are expecting to see somewhat similar specifications for the 9X, we speculate a 6GB base model and the Kirin 710 CPU. However, given the increased competition in this price category from other Chinese brands, we wouldnt be surprised if Honor had something else up its sleeve like a bump in base memory or even a bump in screen size.
Well be on the lookout for any more news about the Honor 9X.
