After you learn how to block someone on Gmail and you block that pesky person who was spamming your inbox, you may at some point want to take it back and allow that person (or company) to send you emails again. If that’s the case, you can unblock someone on Gmail in just four steps.
Unblocking someone on Gmail
- Click the gear icon and open Settings
- Click Filters and Blocked Addresses
- Click Unblock
- Confirm unblocked email address

1. Click the gear icon and open Settings
Once you’re logged into your Gmail account, click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner. From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
2. Click Filters and Blocked Addresses
From the top menu, click Filters and Blocked Address.
3. Click unblock
This page will show you a list of all of the email addresses you have blocked. Find the address you’d like to receive emails from again, and click unblock.
4. Confirm unblocking
Lastly, confirm that you want to unblock this email address to start seeing their messages in your inbox again.
