Best Black Friday laptop deals — what to expect
Chromebooks: If you’re looking for the least-expensive Black Friday laptop deals — you’ll want to shop for a Chromebook. These Chrome OS-powered laptops will hit rock bottom again this Black Friday with prices that start as low as $99. Expect these über cheap laptops to feature very minimal in terms of hardware. You’ll likely get a Celeron CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 32GB eMMC. However, that should be enough for light Web-basked tasks.
MacBooks: The Editor’s Choice MacBook Air dropped to an all-time price low of $749 this past summer. However, it was an exclusive students-only deal at Best Buy. (Non-students paid $849). Amazon didn’t match Best Buy’s price, but they did drop the base model to $849. It’s unlikely we’ll see that $749 price point again. However, it’s very likely that the MacBook Air will crash to $799 at both Best Buy and Amazon. This time, the deal will not require a valid edu e-mail.
Gaming rigs: Looking for an RTX-powered laptop? Black Friday laptop deals are the perfect time to shop. Gaming rigs tend to see some of the biggest discounts on Black Friday, with high-end systems like the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED laptop seeing discounts of up to $600 off. Likewise, if you want a casual machine with a dedicated GPU, these entry-level gaming laptops will drop to the $599 to $799 range. Look for the best deals at retailers like Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy.
