The Ultimate Ears Boom 3 is a top-quality speaker, and I should know since I own one. Seeing it on sale is therefore a wonderful opportunity for you to appreciate that quality too.
This Ultimate Ears Boom 3 for $99 at Amazon (opens in new tab) deal gives you a portable, waterproof Bluetooth speaker with 15 hours of battery, simple pairing and operation and the ability to combine with other Ultimate Ears speakers to create a network of sound for big parties. And of course, the sound is excellent, no matter what you’re listening to.
Good morning once again, it’s Richard Priday, TG staff writer, taking the reins of this live blog to showcase more deals.
We’ll start with a phone, specifically the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus for $749 at Best Buy (opens in new tab). I’ve highlighted this deal before, but for new readers or anyone who forgot about it, this is still one of the best unlocked phone deals you can get right now.
When I tested the Galaxy S22 Plus earlier this year, I really liked the quality of its display and how its triple rear cameras can take any scene (especially those in low light) and produce an attractive photo. Combined with four years of promised Android updates and Samsung’s usual high hardware and software quality, you’re getting everything you could want in a smartphone with the S22 Plus, and for just three-quarters of its list pricing.
• AirPods Pros 2022: $249 $234 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)
Apple’s products don’t see steep discounts right after they come out, but thanks to a price drop at Amazon, you won’t have to pay full price for the AirPods Pro 2022 wireless earbuds if they’re on your wish list for the holidays.
The latest AirPods Pro are currently $234 (opens in new tab), a $15 drop from their usual price. That may not seem huge, but it is the lowest price for the AirPods Pro 2022 since their release earlier this year.
Our AirPods Pro 2 review praised the second generation of Apple’s earbuds for their world-class noise cancellation and excellent spatial audio features. It’s also good that Apple improved the battery life of its wireless earbuds for this version.
• Galaxy Z Fold 4: $1,919 $619 @ Samsung (opens in new tab)
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 can put a serious dent in your wallet, especially if you opt for the 512GB version of Samsung’s foldable phone. But you can save big on this year’s model, and you needn’t wander any farther from Samsung’s website to reap the rewards.
Just by purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung will give you a discount. (The unlocked version as well as models tied to AT&T and Verizon get off $400; T-Mobile and US Cellular customers enjoy a $500 discount.) You can then trade-in a device and get up to $1,000 in credit toward the new phone. No trade-in? Just tack another $100 onto your discount.
Samsung says you can get the 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 4 for as little as $619 (opens in new tab), a $1,300 discount. But even if your trade-in isn’t a new model that will command a bigger return, even a discount of a couple hundred additional dollars would get the Galaxy Z Fold 4 below the $1,00 mark.
Whoa! Now here’s a Black Friday deal that’s completely blindsided me. Amazon now has the iLife V3s Pro on sale for $107. Click the on-page digital coupon to save an extra $30 and drop the final price to just $77. That’s not only the lowest price ever for this robo vac, but we named this robo vac one of the best robot vacuums of 2022. It’s our top budget pick and although it can’t be controlled via smartphone or connected to Alexa/Google — it still does a solid job cleaning up your home.
I’m not much of a home cook, so the Anova Sous Vide has always interested me. In our Anova Nano Sous Vide review, we said the Editor’s Choice gadget is easy to use (with our without the app) and consistently offers soft and juice meats. If you’re not familiar with sous vide, it basically involves sealing a piece of uncooked food in an airtight bag, and then submerging it in a heated water bath for an extended period. Because the water is heated to a precise temperature, there’s no risk of overcooking. And, because you’re cooking, say, meat, at a low temperature for a long period, the muscle fibers in the meat break down, resulting in a very tender cut. The Nano is on sale for $99, but you can also get the vacuum sealer for just $59.
Puzzles/board games: deals from $6 @ Walmart (opens in new tab)
Today’s toys are pretty impressive, but if you want your kids to enjoy toys that perhaps you grew up with — Walmart has a handful of board games and puzzles on sale from $6. The sale includes Connect 4, Sorry!, Clue, and Candy Land. Walmart has also thrown in some Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig jigsaw puzzles into the mix.
Amazon is knocking the price of select Fitbits down to just $79. The sale includes the Fitbit Luxe (now at an all-time price low) and Fitbit Sense 2. Now, hear me out for a second. The Fitbit Sense 2 hit $79 on October 31. That deal lasted about an hour. (Part of me thinks it was a price error on Amazon’s part). Today, Amazon has the Fitbit Sense 2 on sale for $199, which is $100 off and — if you don’t count that $79 deal — its lowest price ever.
Both Fitbits hold a spot in our list of the best Fitbit guide, so you can’t go wrong with either. Just keep in mind that the Sense 2 is the better option if you want a smartwatch, whereas the Luxe is more of a stylish fitness tracker.
Verizon’s official Black Friday deals are now live. The carrier is offering a free 5G phone (up to $999) with trade-in and an eligible 5G data plan. You’ll also get a nice selection of freebies. For instance, you’ll get to choose from an eligible free tablet, watch, and earbuds. Huge caveat — the tablet and watch will require a data plan as well. However, this is still one of the biggest — if not the biggest — sale we’ve seen from Verizon all year.
Amazon’s new Omni QLED TV is on sale for the first time. The TV was just announced last month, but Amazon is already slashing its price. Right now only the 65-inch model is on sale for $599 ($200 off). The big deal with the new Omni TV is that it now sports a quantum dot filter that makes this a QLED TV rather than the LED-LCD model released by Amazon in 2021.Using QLED should give the Omni Series a wider color gamut and a nice uptick in brightness/contrast. We’ve yet to test the TV, but will have a review soon. In the meantime, this is a solid deal for a QLED of this size.
Keep those holiday pounds at bay with the Bowflex SelectTech Kettlebell. It has adjustable weights that range from 8 to 40 pounds. To adjust the weights, just set the kettlebell on the floor and twist the dial. Rather than having an expensive set of dumbbells that take up lots of space, this kettlebell measures just 8.8 x 7 x 12.5 inches, meaning it won’t get in the way when you’re not using it. It also has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to swing, grip, and lift.
- Switch OLED w/ free $75 GC: $349 @ Dell (opens in new tab)
- Xbox Series S w/ free $75 GC: $299 @ Dell (opens in new tab)
Happy Thursday, all! Deals editor Louis here back for another day of Black Friday madness. This here is the first deal that jumped out during my morning scan. I can’t remember the last time I saw the Switch OLED on sale and while this isn’t a dollar-off deal per se, Dell has the Switch OLED bundled with a $75 Dell eGift card for $349. So basically, you’re getting a free $75 GC. Not a Switch fan? They also have the Xbox Series S bundled with a $75 GC for $299.
I bought my own AirPods Pro two Black Fridays ago for about $200. While I’ve loved using them, I’m a bit jealous that users shopping today can get the first-gen AirPods Pro for $159 at Walmart (opens in new tab), substantially cheaper than what I paid.
Although these AirPods Pro don’t have touch volume controls and improved Spatial Audio like the AirPods Pro 2 have, these still come with excellent Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a handy Transparency mode to listen to the outside world when needed, lengthy battery life both including and excluding the charging case, and some excellent sound quality. It’s the perfect accompaniment for your iPhone, iPad or Mac, and trust me, you’ll get your money’s worth with them over time.
Before I joined the dark side and bought a MacBook, I was a Dell laptop fan. That’s why it’s great to see the excellent Dell XPS 13 Plus for $1,399 at Dell (opens in new tab), since it’s one of the company’s top machines with a healthy amount of money taken off the basic price.
As well as just looking handsome, the XPS 13 Plus offers a top-notch touchscreen OLED display, a mighty set of speakers and a comfy keyboard alongside plenty of grunt from its 12th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU. As well as an upgraded chip, this model also comes with the 16GB RAM package, which will make this machine even more capable for intensive work like photo or video editing.
- Google Pixel 6a (Unlocked, 128GB):
$449$299 @ Google (opens in new tab) (from November 17)
One other phone deal to look out for is on the Google Pixel 6a. It’s not live yet, but being able to buy a Pixel 6a for $299 from Google (opens in new tab) is a deal so good it’s worth setting a reminder to check it out once it’s available on November 17.
We love the Pixel 6a because it’s in theory a budget phone but still offers a lot of premium features. It has amazing photography abilities, a flagship-grade Tensor chipset and a vivid OLED display. Plus it all comes in a dinky 6.1-inch package, ideal if you’re fed up with phones getting larger and larger.
Of all the phones I tried last year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 was one of the most impressive. And that’s why the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 for $1,199 at Amazon (opens in new tab) deal is something I have to highlight.
This phone remains one of the best foldables you can get, offering a 6.2-inch outer OLED display and a 7.6-inch inner OLED display, both with 120Hz refresh rates. That main display is great for multi-tasking as you can split multiple apps across it to use simultaneously, and if you get a Z Fold-compatible S Pen stylus, you can take notes and draw too. Don’t be concerned with the fact this isn’t the newer Galaxy Z Fold 4, as the Z Fold 3 is still a similar device. It just happens to cost the same as a regular phone now, and that may be enough to convince you to give foldables a try.
Good morning, it’s TG staff writer Richard Priday back again for more deals. Thought I’d start by flagging one of the newest products on our radar, the iPad Pro 2022, which is still on offer for $749 at Amazon (opens in new tab).
With an Apple M2 chipset and an 11-inch 120Hz display, this tablet is fantastic for streaming and gaming. It’s faster than any other tablet on the market, and is an amazing device for design and creative tasks too thanks to the dual rear cameras and Apple Pencil support. It’s only a small discount, but since this tablet’s been on the market for only a few weeks, it’s still notable.
• Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360: $1,449 $949 @ Samsung (opens in new tab)
People are eager to sell you a Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 this holiday season. Earlier, we had found a $400 discount on the 1TB version of Samsung’s 2-in-1 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) that stuck us a nice value. But Samsung has gone one better, knocking $500 off the 15.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 (opens in new tab), bringing its price down to $949.
Samsung offers further opportunities to save. If you’ve got an eligible device like a phone, tablet or computer to trade in, you can knock up to $200 off the discounted price, bringing the cost of this tablet down to $749.
We’re looking at the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 model with a 15.6-inch display, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and an Intel Core i7 processor. That’s a pretty suite rig for less than $1,000, and that’s before the trade-in rebate takes the cost down even further.
During the holidays, many big-box retailers get exclusive TV models that only they can sell. That lets them dictate how low/cheap they can offer the TV. For example, right now Walmart has the LG 65-inch UP7050 4K TV on sale for $398. It’s an amazing price, but if you look around — no one else is selling this TV. The closest I could find is the LG 70-inch UP7070 for $549 at Best Buy (opens in new tab), which itself is a Best Buy exclusive. Anyways, back to the LG UP7050. It’s a solid deal at $398, but it appears to be a Walmart exclusive (which is why you don’t see the “before” price and Walmart just lists the “sale” price). It features HDR10/HLG support, game optimizer setting with low input lag, and Google/Alexa compatibility.
We’ve seen a lot of Surface Pro 8 deals in the past, but never have we seen one this good. Right now Best Buy has the Surface Pro 8 bundled with the Signature Keyboard for $899. The keyboard normally costs $179 on its own, so you’re getting a generous $450 discount. We named the Surface Pro 8 one of the best 2-in-1 laptops, and perfect for everyday use. In our Microsoft Surface Pro 8 review, we loved the device’s beautiful, sharp display. We also like how its speakers are cleverly hidden behind the top bezel and bonus points for delivering solid audio.
Walmart is leading the charge when it comes to budget laptops. It’s currently offering the Acer Chromebook 315 for just $149. It sports a 15.6-inch LCD, Celeron N4000 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 64GB eMMC. It’s a great starter/budget machine for kids or ideal for basic Web-based tasks. It also comes with a free laptop sleeve.
If you’re a football fan, you already know that the World Cup 2022 begins on Sunday, November 20. If you want to play the jogo bonito before then — Amazon is offering a nice discount on FIFA 23. Right now you can get FIFA 23 on sale for $47 at Amazon.
The game’s officially-licensed World Cup mode offers the chance to play through the entire tournament at home with authentic teams, stadiums, and a bespoke matchday broadcast package. Plus, FIFA 23 also offers a wealth of other modes including career mode, online Pro Clubs, and the ever-popular Ultimate Team mode. In our FIFA 23 review, we praised the game for its tweaks to the defending system, as well as it’s visuals and presentation. Just be aware that its notoriously predatory micro-transactions continue to be a problem.
There are a lot of great home deals available today and one of my favorites comes from Nectar. The mattress manufacturer is taking 33% off sitewide right now. The sale includes the excellent Nectar duvet. I love my Nectar duvet. I bought it a few years ago and since then have purchased a second one. It’s super-soft and made of breathable cotton that keeps you warm during the winter and cool during the summer. The duvet also holds a spot in our list of the best duvets. Right now you can get the twin for $100 (was $149) or the queen for $120 (was $179).
Heads up, gamers! The Editor’s Choice Razer Kaira Pro is on sale at its lowest price ever. (It’s $10 cheaper than it was during last year’s BF sales). In our Razer Kaira Pro review, we declared it was one of the best accessories that you could buy for Microsoft’s XSX. Years later, that still holds true. The Kaira Pro features one of the most comfortable fits you’ll find, as well as the best sound quality for music. At its new price low, this is a good as gaming headsets get.
I’ve been eyeing this Ninja system since the start of the year. Best Buy tends to discount it during major holidays only. And it usually sells for about $159. However, right now Best Buy is taking 50% off and slashing its price to just $99. It’s the best price I’ve seen for it. It can mix, blend, juice, and process all of your favorite foods. It comes with a high-volume 72-ounce blender capacity and a 64-ounce round bowl that doubles as a food processor. You also get two 16-ounce blender cups with built-in blades for smoothies and shakes. It’s a nice addition to just about any kitchen.
Happy hump day, all! Deals editor Louis here starting the day off with a deal designed for your…..derrière. Purple is knocking 25% off its seat cushions. I’ve slept on a Purple bed and I love their Purple Grid, so although I don’t own this cushion — I can imagine it’s pretty comfy. It can be especially useful if you spend all day sitting in front of a computer (like me). If you really wanna pamper yourself and add back support, all of Purple’s cushions are up to 30% off (you can browse through them all on Purple’s website (opens in new tab)).
One last smartphone deal recommendation from me before I pass the live blog on! Earlier in the year, I was very impressed with Samsung’s latest range of flagship phones, and so it’s great to see the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus for $749 at Best Buy (opens in new tab).
The S22 Plus offers a great blend of display quality, camera performance, computing power and increased charging speed compared to previous Galaxy S models. It’s an impressive device, and one that’ll also last you a long time thanks to Samsung’s generous promise of four years of full Android updates.
I’m lucky enough to already own a MacBook, but if I was buying one today, I’d definitely go for the MacBook Air M2, which is currently at its best-ever price of $1,049 at Amazon (opens in new tab).
While you’re limited to the sensible Silver or Space Gray colors, you’re still getting Apple’s handsome new design, an M2 chip with more than enough power for most uses, a colorful 13.6-inch display, quad speakers and MagSafe charging for safe and speedy refueling. It’s currently the top of our best laptops guide, so at this discount, it’s a must-get.
If you’re a PS5 owner like me, chances are you’ve wondered just how long the in-built SSD will last you if you keep filling it up with games. If that’s a proper concern for you, then take a look at the WD_Black SN850 2TB NVMe SSD, which is currently $259 at Best Buy (opens in new tab).
With a little disassembly, you can insert this SSD into the PlayStation’s dedicated memory expansion slot, and suddenly have another two terabytes of space to play with. It comes with a heatsink pre-installed too, which will make sure you don’t suffer heat-throttled performance when playing.
Aside from smartphones, I’m also a big coffee geek. And looking through the current crop of coffee maker deals, it seems that the Keurig K-Mini for $49 at Amazon (opens in new tab) is the best of the bunch.
As the name suggests, this is a tiny little coffee machine that’ll easily fit into a packed kitchen. It’s simple to use, comes in a wide choice of colors and is energy efficient too. It’s only able to brew one cup at a time though, so be warned if you’re the type to drink several cups back-to-back!
Good morning, this is Richard Priday of Tom’s Guide U.K. here. I spend most of my time here reviewing smartphones, so allow me to point you towards one of the best phone deals on offer right now: the OnePlus 9.
OnePlus’ own online store is offering the unlocked OnePlus 9 for $449 (opens in new tab), which is an incredible price for this year-old flagship. It’s still got plenty of power to keep up with more recent phones on the market, an amazing 120Hz display, a long-lasting battery, and some of the fastest charging speeds on the market thanks to its 65W charger. It’s a great way to get more phone for your money if new phones in your price range don’t offer the features you really want.
• Bose Soundlink II: $229 $149 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)
The Quiet Comfort II range draws all the attention when it comes to Bose wireless headphones, but don’t let the slightly older school Soundlink II offerings escape you attention — particularly when you can get them at a discount. Right now, Amazon is selling the Bose Soundlik II for $149 (opens in new tab), an $80 drop from their regular price.
Expect excellent sound quality and terrific comfort from the Soundlink headphones, which also come with their own microphone to make sure you’re heard as loud and clear as the sound is coming in. The Soundlink II also promises 15 hours of battery life so that the music plays on.
• Tile Pro 2022 four-pack: $88 $79 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)
Managing editor Philip Michaels here, wrapping up today with a few more early Black Friday deals. Whenever people ask me what key finder to buy, I recommended the Tile Pro 2022, since we currently rank it as the best key finder you can buy for its long range and loud alarm.
Currently, you can get a four-pack of Tile Pro 2022 trackers at a 10% discount (opens in new tab) at Amazon, bringing the cost down to $79. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen in the last month.
Why get a four-pack of Tile trackers? Because they happen to make great stocking stuffers, whether you dole out a tracker to four different people or you hand out multiple key finders to the same people so that they’ll never lose anything. Tile Pro works just as well with Android devices as it does with the iPhone, so you can use these trackers as a gift for anyone, regardless of what smartphone they use.
I used to think that the type of pillows you use in bed really don’t matter. Then a year ago I purchased the Tempur-Cloud Adjustable Pillows. I was dead wrong! I loooove these pillows. I like a somewhat medium-firm pillow and that’s exactly what these pillows provide. I also like them because they’re adjustable. So if you want a softer pillow, you can just remove some of the “Tempur materials” inside to make them softer. As part of its current sale, you can get 2 Tempur-Cloud Pillows for $99 ($39 off). All of Tempur-Pedic’s pillows are on sale (opens in new tab), but these are the ones I own and recommend.
Last month I purchased the new Apple Watch 8 and I absolutely love it. I upgraded from my old Apple Watch 4. The biggest difference — in addition to the bigger size (I opted for the 45mm model) — is the always-on display, which makes such a huge difference in day-to-day activities. Amazon currently has the Series 8 (LTE/41mm) on sale for $389. That’s a sweet $110 off and its lowest price ever! A word of caution — if you don’t need cellular connectivity, the Apple Watch 8 (GPS/41mm) hit $349 a few days ago ($50 off). I think we’ll see that price — if not lower — on Black Friday proper. But if you want the LTE model — this is a solid deal. Make sure to check out our Black Friday Apple watch deals coverage for more discounts.
When we say everything goes on sale for Black Friday — we really do mean everything. For example, Amazon is offering a killer deal on one of the best electric scooters we’ve tested. Right now you can get the Editor’s Choice Unagi Model One on sale for $589. Normally priced at $990, that’s a sweet $401 off and the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this dual-motor scooter. In our Unagi Model One review, we called it the best option for folks who need to get up steep hills. It has powerful (dual) motors, a bright and clear display, and an awesome design.
The season for cheap laptops/Chromebooks is here and Walmart is leading the charge with prices as low as $79. I personally wouldn’t recommend making a $79 laptop your main machine. However, if you’re looking for a laptop for a child or if you want a secondary machine that you can keep on your coffee table for basic internet-based tasks — then this machine can fit the bill. It features an 11.6-inch LCD (1366 x 768), AMD A4 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB eMMC.
If you’re not familiar with the name, you can rest assured that the Yosuda Indoor Bike is one of the best exercise bikes on the market. We named it the best bike under $500 and liked it because it’s reasonably priced and offers a solid construction/design. It doesn’t offer any fancy bells and whistles like other pricier bikes, but it does a solid job providing the essentials. Amazon has it on sale for just $279, which is its lowest price ever. Check out our Yosuda Indoor Bike review for our full thoughts on the bike.
Outside of big-screen TVs and laptops, mattresses tend to see some amazing deals during Black Friday. In fact, many people (myself included) wait specifically for Black Friday mattress deals to make any purchases for their bedroom. Here’s an example. Right now Nectar is taking 33% off sitewide. This started off as a flash sale last weekend, but the deal has been extended. I’m flagging this because it’s the best discount we’ve seen from the brand and Nectar also makes the best mattress we’ve tested — especially if you’re on a budget. Check out our Nectar mattress review for our full thoughts on the mattress.
Streaming devices make for great stocking stuffers. Even if you already own a smart TV, the right streaming device can make your viewing experience much more pleasurable. Currently, Best Buy is slashing the price of various streaming devices from Roku, Amazon, Google, and Apple. Not sure which one to get? I personally own the Roku Streaming Stick 4K and absolutely love it. It’s also the overall winner in our list of the best streaming devices.
Just a heads up — the Apple TV 4K is about $10 cheaper at Amazon. Amazon has it for $99 (opens in new tab), whereas Best Buy has it for $109 (opens in new tab).
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Deals editor Louis here highlighting the best Black Friday deals of the day on this chilly NYC morning. There’s a lot to cover this morning, so let’s jump right into the first deal.
There are a lot of good iPad deals out there right now, but my top pick is the new iPad Pro 11-inch on sale for $749. It’s the first major price cut we’ve seen on this tablet. The new tablet features Apple’s mighty M2 CPU. Apple claims the new chipset’s 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU are up to 15% and 35% faster than the previous-gen model. You also get an 11-inch 2388 x 1668 Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion, 8GB of RAM, 12MP wide/10MP ultrawide rear cameras, and a 12MP TrueDepth front camera.
